and they are looking for someone to build and manage an e-commerce
logistics operation.
Description:
Duties
for the E-Commerce Logistics Manager will include:
- Manage and develop a team of logistics coordinators
- Develop and build a new e-commerce logistics platform and network within an existing logistics & distribution operation
- Work closely with Project Manager and existing operational managers to implement new e-fulfillment processes
- Develop and Monitor appropriate KPIs.
- Develop and Monitor 3PL SLAs.
- Conduct and document regularly scheduled meetings.
- Maintain accurate and consistent electronic files and documentation.
- Interact with, and coordinate the activities of contractors and consultants.
- Work with 3PL to develop continuous improvement.
- Comply with all business policies and procedures, including but not limited to ethics and business practice.
- Manage occasional projects relating to identified improvements as required.
Profile
The
ideal candidate will possess:
- Experience of working within an e-commerce logistics operations is essential - those with out will not be considered
- Experience of working with a 3PL is important
- Experience of working with a major retailer.
- Ability to prepare and track budgets.
- Flexibility with work hours and travel as needed.
- Highly organised with strong analytical skills.
- Able to identify opportunities for efficiency, cost reduction and continuous improvement.
- Have solid understanding of e-commerce, mobile and fulfillment technologies.
- Strong commercial awareness.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with executive level external and internal clients.
- Organisational skills with the ability to identify and manage priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail oriented.
- Ability to multi-task and work both in a team and independently.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Able to define operational procedures, set service standards, defining SLA's etc.
